The most important gardening work for the whole year

If you have a garden you know for sure that it requires constant care and regular maintenance. What are the most important things you need to do in order to enjoy his gifts all year round? We suggest you.
January, February and March
January is a good time to set up a garden work diary and plan a whole year of care there. It is also the time to look after the onions, tubers and rhizomes that we dug out in the autumn. In January, take care of the trees – you can whiten their trunks, plant one-year-old and perennial plants and cut off the shoots of potted plants. In February, lay down balcony plants, cut off the vine shoots, but also the dry blades of grass. Buy the vegetable seeds you want to sow in the coming season. You must start aerating your lawn in March. Special boots or traditional forks are also available. Remove winter coverings from plants, clean the pond and check the condition of fruit trees.
April, May, June
In April, plant strawberries and strawberries, and in warm pots, plant tomato seeds, peppers and cucumbers. Take care of your lawn – April is the time to take your lawnmower out of the garage. You can find out how to take care of your electric mower and combustion mower from our guide. Taking care of your garden tools is especially important, you don’t want to buy the equipment you need every year. Spray roses before aphids and fruit trees against fungi in May. Create a new prism of compost, regularly weed and water bedding, cut down flowering shrubs and put potted plants outside. In June, seeds of two-year-old plants and perennials are sown.
July, August and September
In July you will start enjoying your first vegetable harvest. Prepare a place for future seedlings to root. It would be good if it were a small tunnel or a greenhouse. Constantly weed and water the discards. In August, collect vegetables that are fit for consumption and sow green manure in their place. Once the strawberries have been harvested, remove the litter and weed the area. The last time you sow lettuce, radish and dill for late harvesting, you should do so. Plant deciduous and coniferous trees. In September, overgrow older plants, alkali spring perennials and roses. Put potted plants in warm rooms.
October, November and December
In October, feed the trees and shrubs with potassium and phosphorus fertilizers, remove the pump from the pond, fertilize the beds, removing weeds from them beforehand, protect the trunks of the trees with bands. November is the time when the leaves are raked and can be used for composting. Generously water cold green plants and conifers before winter. And in December drop snow from conifers (otherwise it may break the shoots of plants), try not to follow the paths on the lawn (this way you will expose it to decay), after the first frost discover the beds of onion plants, check if the surface of the water in the pond did not freeze. Cut a hole in it so that the fish have constant access to the air.
