Get to know the inventor of the electric guitar and the date of manufacture of the first model
It’s hard to imagine that there would be no member of a band in a rock band who wouldn’t play an electric guitar. The instrument is also an obligatory element in bands that play much heavier music. Their line-up very often includes even two musicians, playing on a popular row. The origins of the instrument can be traced back to the 1930s, when the first guitar with electric attachments was made. It has been known as a ‘pan’. This was very much justified.
The first electric guitar was modelled on the Hawaiian guitar, which had seven strings. For the first time, Adolf Rickenbacker has added electric attachments to a traditional instrument. It happened in 1932. The prototype was played with the guitar on your lap. The term “frying pan” obviously appeared in connection with the appearance of the first electrician. The instrument had a round shape and was characterized by a long griffin. The association with the basic equipment of every kitchen came almost immediately to the musicians. Another stop on the way to the development of electric guitars was to create this “solid” one. This guitar did not have a resonance cavity. The instrument was sold thanks to Leipzig Fenter, who is responsible for its invention. The experts of the subject associate this man perfectly with the legendary “Fender Strarocaster” and “Fender Telecaster” models, which were created about 70 years ago. Another known name in the history of electric guitars is Orville Gibson. It’s worth knowing that Gibson’s large acoustic jazz guitar had electric attachments long before Fender “came into being” on the market. It is also interesting to mention the unusual situation in which the talented guitarist Les Paul constructed an electric instrument for Fender with the… a wooden piece of railway sleeper. At this point it is worth noting that Paul also invented the first multi-track recording. What secrets does Pink Floyd’s biggest hit hide? Only the fans of the British rock band Pink Floyd know that the biggest hit of the band “Another Brick in the Wall” is actually the second of three tracks of the same title. All of them are based on the same musical theme. Nowadays, all three models mentioned – “Gibson”, “Rickenbacker” and “Fender” – do not differ practically from the model that was developed several decades ago. At the same time, you should be aware that the classic models are not among the most expensive electricians in the world, and thus the best guitars on the market, but they do not affect the fact that it is the original designs of electric oars that most guitarists dream of, and not necessarily only those from the amateur circle. Who do you think is the best guitarist of all time? We look forward to hearing from you in the comments section. You will find it below. For me personally the number one is Slash playing in the band Guns N’ Roses.
